We discovered places we never would have found on our own... read more and appreciated all of the insights about Brac and island life. Also, why take a paved road when you can go off-road! Additionally, the lunch at the family home was outstanding! Lovely people, incredible location and yummy food. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

The food here (we were expecting a little snack) was beautifully fresh with amazing tapenade, fresh bread olives and tomatoes washed down with a little red wine . Visited highest point on the island, local quarry where the beautiful stone of the island is excavated. Bol where we a little stop for a swim and a beer.Vineyard where we another experience of wonderful food. Most fantastic day. Made all the better by good companions in our Truck and fantastic guide.

It’s clear he loves his island. He took us to all parts of the island in his Pinzgauer which coped with rough terrain but still enabling us to have a comfortable journey. (It really made his day when we met another one coming towards us on a track!)We tried olive based tapas at the olive oil museum and sampled delicious local produce for lunch. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

All the reviews don’t really do it justice because there is... read more something for everyone!! The off-road drive; the olive oil museum; the lunch; the view from the highest point on the island. For me the highlight was our host for the day - Tino. He’s knowledgeable, interesting, engaging and passionate. I must also mention my fellow travellers who were Scottish, English, Serbian, American and German - great company and even more so after lunch and a few tastings of local drinks. It was just great fun ... thanks Tino!!

  We went on the 'On the Way to Zlatni Rat' tour recommended at our hotel - it was absolutely brilliant and we hugely recommend for those visiting Brac! Like other... read more reviews say, it feels very authentic and personal and not touristy at all. It was just 8 people hanging out with Tino, the guide, in a jeep and checking out Brac. Tino grew up in Brac and was so knowledgeable! He would stop and give us fascinating history lessons along the way. It was of course quite fun to ride around in an ex-military jeep and do some off-roading as well! As we were going off road, it definitely felt like we were getting to see parts of the island other visitors might not get to.

We loved the olive oil museum, which included a little meal at the end with wine, brandy, olive pate, and olive oils. We wanted to see Zlatni Rat, but it was absolutely heaving that day, so it was perfect to just get an hour there to see it and get out - we'd been thinking otherwise we'd take the bus down to see it, and we're so thankful we did it this way instead. It was very cool to go up Vidova Gora and check out the view. The lunch at the vineyard was a real highlight too - grilled fish caught by the farmer that morning, a schnapps tasting session. Also just driving around and seeing all the places like Škrip and Nerežišća was pretty special.

  Tino, our guide, met us at the ferry and informed us two of us and one other person, would be the tour group for the day. Tino took us to... read more hidden, out of the way spots that we could not have found on our own – and some only accessible via jeep: an art studio in the hills, an olive farm, a limestone quarry, an intimate lunch at a gorgeous family owned vineyard overlooking the sea (with locally caught fish, and freshly grown vegetables for salad, and desert, along with wine and hand brewed spirits), a stop at the Zlatni Rat Beach (Golden Horn) near Bol and went for a swim. We also stopped in the town of Bol (and were invited into a local party at a winery/bar). A great adventure: please note, jeep ride was great, sometimes bumpy through olive fields, this is not for those looking for a fancy trip, or luxury. Highly recommended.

Tino has the ability to connect with his guests- by the end of the tour you feel like you made a friend. The tour was a perfect blend of history, culture, touring the island, and amazing food and people. I would come back and do the same exact trip again.

It was just two of us on the tour and some of the bumps and turns are not for the faint of heart but it also adds to the thrill of the adventure.

  With our group of students and teacher, we were able to have an extremely fun day at Braç. We were guided around the yard of Explore Braç in an incredibly... read more fun, cheerful and spontaneous way. The theme of our trip was "local flavor" this theme was reflected very well in the tour. We got to taste a lot and cook for ourselves. It is cool to see how self-sufficient you are. The tour is highly recommended and we would love to visit beautiful Braç again!
